Weekend Musings: Girlfriend News

Hi Girlfriends,

I hope to have a weekend post most weekends to catch up on the news of the week and soon, to feature regular author interviews, so stay tuned. This is just a quickie blog:

Lots of cool girlfriend activity of late. Melissa Senate’s upcoming novel “Love Goddess Cooking School" has been chosen as an Indie Notable. Melanie Benjamin, author of Alice I Have Been, has signed a new two-book  with Delacorte deal. Sarah Pekkanen wrote a review of "Mini Shopaholic" for the Washington Post. Finally, Marilyn Brandt’s novel, "Friday Mornings at Nine" was recently released.

I’m over at A Good Blog Is Hard To Find with a post called “It Takes A Lot of Nerve For a Yankee to Write Southern Novels.” Hop over to that post and make a comment and you’ll have the chance to win either “Saving CeeCee Honeycutt” by our very own Beth Hoffman or Ravens by George Dawes Green.

P.S. I forgot one link: A very, very funny interview wiith J.A. Konrath by Lauren Baratz-Logsted.
